Goalie Mask
I painted this mask as a tribute to Steven Stamkos scoring 51 goals and winning the "Rocket " Richard Trophy during the 2009-10 season. It is hand-painted in acrylics.
Steven Stamkos action pose.
Front of the mask. 51 goals and "Stammer" written on it.
Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy side.
Back of mask. Jersey-style lettering and numbering.
Back of mask without straps.

Vincent Lecavalier Painted Ostrich Egg
Here's my latest project finished. Dion started painting ostrich eggs at the park and let me have one to paint. I was going to paint an animal such as a giraffe or lion to go with the jungle theme at work, but I have a penchant for finding more challenging subjects. I ended up painting Tampa Bay Lightning player Vincent Lecavalier... go figure. I completely wrapped the egg in imagery with 2 action poses, Vinny's portrait, and the secondary logo of the Lightning. I painted it with acrylics and very small brushes. The egg is about 6 inches tall. I think I put about 17 hours into this. I'm not a very quick painter :P
This is the finished egg...
